Caught up in the crazy
life is a whirl
trying to clear a space
to put down my own roots
so I can build
a little something for myself
I don't need the world
just a room to call mine
maybe I should have
done this years ago
but who's to say
Maybe now is when
I needed to change
& when my heart was alive
& my prayers changed
So I'm opening my heart
& peeling back the layers
Hoping this new start
will help me become
more of who I want to be
